Nuclear Reporting Cell The Nuclear Reporting Cell (NRC) at RAF Neatishead, was an element of the UK Warning and Monitoring Organisation (UKWMO), established in 1957 to warn the public, government and military of any impending or actual nuclear attack and also to warn of nuclear fallout after an attack. The UKWMO was staffed by civilian volunteers from the Royal Observer Corps (ROC) who, at RAF Neatishead, would receive information of nuclear ‘bomb blasts’ from on of the 25 UKWMO Group HQs, normally Norwich Group HQ at Old Catton.
