• PLAN YOUR COVID SAFE VISIT

Welcome to the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum, the largest independently operated Museum in North Norfolk.

The Museum is an award winning, volunteer run, visitor attraction which offers an enjoyable and informative day out for the whole family.

This page outlines the changes we’ve made to keep you safe during your visit.

Keeping You Safe

We have made the museum safe for your visit and are Good to Go!

WWII Room good to go

We recommend that all adult visitors wear a face covering, correctly worn, during your visit within our Museum unless you have a specific exemption.

Hand sanitizer is available at Reception and at key points around the Museum.

Please note that because of the nature of the military building, which was constructed in 1942, it does mean that access to all areas is not always possible for those using wheelchairs. Click here to view the Museum Accessibility.

Our toilet facilities and touch points e.g. handrails are cleaned regularly to ensure your safety.

Finding Us

The Radar Museum is located on the northern side of the Norfolk Broads.  We are signposted from Wroxham (10 minutes by car) and Horning (an easy walk of 10 minutes) or an easy drive from Norwich (25 minutes) .

If arriving by boat, you can moor at Horning.

Bicycle Hire is available at Wroxham (near the Tourist Information Centre) or there is a local Wroxham Taxi Service ( 01603 782925).

Our car park is large enough to host cars, coaches or mini buses. We have a grassed outdoor eating area, a small grassed play area and shady parking for those hot summer days if you are bringing your dog (sorry no dogs are permitted inside the Museum*). There is also a small dog kennel to use should you wish to park your dog whilst you visit us. Guide dogs are of course accepted inside the museum.
