• Volunteering

The Air Defence Radar Museum is a large facility with many exhibition rooms, the Shop, Crumbs Café and a large area of land – and that’s just the public part of the Museum. We pride ourselves, not only in maintaining the Museum in tip-top condition, but, most importantly, in providing our visitors, whatever their previous knowledge of the world of air defence, with a thoroughly enjoyable, entertaining and informative day out.

Our Volunteers

The Museum is totally reliant on volunteers to open and operate the Museum. The success of your day out is down to the exceptional Team who will look after you, often from the moment you arrive in the car park through entering the museum itself, enjoying a Tea, Coffee or Snack in our comfortable bright Café right down to those with a particular research question you have for the Curator.

Most of our Volunteers have a strong link to both RAF Neatishead or the world of Air Defence, many having worked in some capacity at this very site. So, who better to show you round? But, several of our Team have experience in other fields of life – as well as people who have just been captivated by the Museum following a visit!

Please contact the Museum Manager by phone on 01692 631485 or email manager@radarmuseum.co.uk for more information or an informal

chat.
