• VISITOR INFORMATION - OPENING TIMES, PRICES, & GROUP VISITS

Opening Times

The museum is closed for the season. We re-open on the 29th March 2024.

Our open days include each Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday in addition to each Bank Holiday Monday, 10am – 5pm.

Our last day of opening is Saturday the 11th November.

Admission

The museum now uses an online ticketing booking system via ArtFund, and it helps us to plan if you are able to book online.

However, we also welcome “walk-in” visitors, so if you are unable to book online, or plan to visit us at short notice, our Reception Staff will be only too happy to assist you. Call Tuesday-Saturday on 01692 631485.

Please note that although the tickets are timed we are not limiting the time you stay in the museum as the museum is large enough for visitors to socially distance in safety.

And don’t forget, all our tickets are valid for 12 months, buy once and come back and visit us as many times as you like for 1 year!

Gift Aid makes a valuable contribution to the museum. Please consider adding Gift Aid when purchasing your tickets.

Dogs

Unfortunately, due to the size of some of the rooms, dogs, with the exception of Support Dogs, are not permitted inside the museum. However, we do have a small outdoor dog compound available should you wish to leave your dog whilst you visit the museum.

Group Bookings

The Museum has hosted a wide variety and sizes groups ranging from car enthusiasts, paranormal, twinned cities, scouts/cubs, schools, WI, RAF personnel, to name a few and we would be delighted to assist you with your arrangements to make your time spent with us memorable.

We can easily accommodate 30 guests at a time in our onsite café, or for larger groups, we can offer buffet style food and beverages.

Our variety of catering is tailored to the groups requirements e.g. vegetarian, gluten free etc.   In each case, please contact the Manager via email or telephone.

For Pre-Booked Groups (6 or over), we offer a discount. Find out more. We can also offer groups tailored refreshments e.g. buffet lunches, morning or afternoon teas at a small additional cost.

Accessibility

The Museum has been access audited by Access North Norfolk Action and changes have been made to ensure that as many people as possible can enjoy their visit.

However the nature of the military building, which was constructed in 1942, does mean that access to all areas is not always possible for those using wheelchairs. Click here to view the Museum Accessibility.
