The Museum is an award winning, volunteer run, visitor attraction which offers an enjoyable and informative day out for the family.

Housed in the original Grade II listed 1942 radar operations building, the Museum provides a unique window into the history of radar covering the period of Second World War to the Cold War in addition to the exhibition spaces, offers the visitor a wide range of facilities.

The museum has over 20 exhibition rooms. It is suggested that you allow yourself between 2-3 hours to see our entire collection and attend our two presentation talks.

We are open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Bank Holiday Mondays.

Presentations are given daily in both the Second World War room and the Cold War Room. The times of the talks will be announced over the Tannoy throughout the day.

Please note that because of the nature of the military building, which was constructed in 1942, it does mean that access to all areas is not always possible for those using wheelchairs or who have difficulty with stairs. Click here to view the Museum Accessibility.
